Freelance fashion, lifestyle & culture writer based near Bath/Bristol
Writing, in many different forms, is something that I have taken an interest in from a young age – from creative writing at secondary school before turning my interest to magazine and newspaper articles, specifically fashion-related, in sixth form. Combining my enthusiasm for writing with the creativity of fashion has enabled me to explore many different avenues within an industry that is constantly evolving, producing work such as news stories, interviews, debates, opinion pieces, catwalk reports, news and trend features and listicles.
Having recently graduated with a First Class Honours in Fashion Journalism at the University for the Creative Arts near London, I gained many valuable skills throughout my time at university that will equip me to work within the industry – from finding and researching topical news stories, carrying out various interviews, and contacting people within the industry for quotes. Additionally, I have developed a unique and personal tone within my writing, showcasing a sarcastic view on society and popular culture. Alongside writing fashion articles, I have experience writing within other areas such as culture, politics, art exhibitions and film. Internships undertaken at both print and online fashion publications as a fashion and editorial assistant have introduced me to the industry, with my main interest being freelance writing for fashion and lifestyle publications.
